More Than 15 Years in the Making.
Nano Foundry is the result of years of research, invention, testing, and refinement aimed at one question: can advanced alumina be manufactured in a better way?
The Goal Was Never Just to Make Alumina.
The work behind Nano Foundry began long before the company itself. The underlying technology was researched, engineered, revised, and tested over many years with the goal of creating a fundamentally different path to advanced-material production.
Traditional powder manufacturing can involve multiple energy-intensive steps, batch processing, mechanical milling, large water requirements, and process streams that create waste or emissions that then have to be managed. Rather than accepting those constraints as unavoidable, the technology behind Nano Foundry was developed around the idea that the manufacturing process itself could be redesigned.
That effort ultimately produced the patented processes at the core of Nano Foundry's manufacturing platform. The result is a continuous approach that produces nano-scale alumina without relying on mechanical milling, recovers and reuses process water, is designed without harmful process emissions, and does not depend on grid electricity for operation.
Those characteristics are not separate sustainability features added after the fact. They are consequences of the way the process was invented. The same decisions that reduce unnecessary process steps also support scalability, simplify the production pathway, and keep the focus on the material customers actually need.
Nano Foundry was created to bring that technology into commercial production—turning years of research into a U.S.-based advanced materials company capable of supporting customers from material qualification through industrial-scale supply.
A Better Process Should Produce More Than a Better Powder.
We believe the next generation of advanced materials manufacturing should be judged by more than particle size and purity. It should also be judged by how efficiently material is produced, how much supporting infrastructure the process requires, what waste it creates, and whether the production model can realistically scale with demand.
That philosophy is reflected throughout Nano Foundry: continuous manufacturing instead of conventional batch production; nano-scale material without mechanical milling; closed-loop water rather than continuous consumption; no grid dependency; no harmful process emissions; and engineered alumina as the only solid output.
We are still at the beginning of Nano Foundry's commercial story, but the technology behind it is not at the beginning. The company exists to take years of invention and turn that work into reliable, scalable advanced-material production for customers who need both performance and supply.
Just as important, we want Nano Foundry to be part of a broader U.S. manufacturing story. We are excited to work with American manufacturers, engineers, and product developers to create better-performing materials, improve the products built with them, and strengthen the ability of U.S. industry to compete in markets where advanced materials increasingly matter.
